The Local Agreement: The Pokagon Fund was created by an agreement between the City of New Buffalo, New Buffalo Township and the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. This document outlines the details of this agreement describing the creation of the foundation, the source and amount of funding, and the distribution of funds to various municipalities. Please note this document does not describe the creation of the Local Revenue Sharing Board, which is a completely different entity from The Pokagon Fund.
Bylaws: These documents were updated in April 2015.
Articles of Incorporation: These documents are filed with the State of Michigan. They were first filed in 2002, with subsequent amendments in 2004 and in 2009.
IRS Determination Letter: The Pokagon Fund is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. It is further classified as a non-operating private foundation.
