Pokagon Fund announces newest director

New Buffalo, MI, The Board of Directors for The Pokagon Fund is pleased to announce the selection of their newest director, Viki Gudas.

Viki Gudas is a resident of Harbor Country and has over 20 years of experience in marketing and organizational development.  She is a highly effective communicator, public speaker and facilitator.   “Viki’s past work experiences and knowledge of the area allow her to understand firsthand the funding initiatives that will best support the people in this region,” shared John Miller, Chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and The Pokagon Fund.  Viki replaces Quincy White who passed away in October 2008.

The Board of Directors for The Pokagon Fund is made up of seven members.  Four members are appointed:  two representatives from the Pokagon Band, one representative from the City of New Buffalo, one representative from the Township of New Buffalo.  The remaining three directors are at-large members who are jointly selected by the four appointed members.  Current members of the Board of Directors include:  John Miller, Tribal Chair and Chairman of the Board; Judy Winchester, Pokagon Band representative, Larry Frankle, Township of New Buffalo representative; and Bob Westergren, City of New Buffalo representative.  The three jointly selected directors are:  Viki Gudas, Stan Showalter, and Vickie Wagner.
